Procedure Windows Cleaning

Prepare the window area

For indoor windows with carpet floors, place a towel under the window area to avoid dropping water on the carpet.

For windows cleaning on hard floors, allow extra room for the water to drop so it does not wet any other surface and mop after finishing.

Prepare the cleaning equipment

The carpet cleaning machines are heavy (20 – 50Kg), therefore, a good lifting and pushing technique is necessary to avoid any injury and perform a good service.

Prepare:

Windows applicator
Squeeze
Bucket
Windows cleaning cloth

In a medium bucket, place a solution of warm water and Methylated spirits, or dishwasher soap.

Apply the solution to the windows

Use the squeeze

Be sure the squeeze blade is cleaned and free of debris.

Use the squeeze firmly on the windows and remove the solution from the windows in an organised pattern, always up to bottom.

Keep the squeeze dry if this is too wet.

Remove excess water with a window cleaning cloth

For the remaining water in windows, especially in corners, use the cleaning cloth to detail, be sure no stripes are shown when seen backlit.

Organise the working area

Dry the floor, window sill or sliding door track after finishing the window cleaning.

Take the cleaning equipment and throw the dirty water into the toilet and flush it.
